stopped through on a cross country move with 2 large dogs, area is beautiful and grassy with a creek nearby. downside is that there is no actual “dog park” in my opinion as in there’s no fenced in areas. my dogs still loved exploring even on leashes! I’d still recommend

Just one of many regular parks here i Springfield. Its a cool park, just not a dog park. Only one of those here in town, and you have to have proof of current shots and pay $35 yearly fee to get in.

It's a good park and I'd like to say that IT IS FREE. It is also a "dog friendly" park, not a dog park, so you shouldn't expect an off leash area or a dog pool. You get what you pay for, or rather you don't get what you don't pay for. And please don't review other parks here.

There may not be leash free. But at least it is free. Has a swimming area etc. My old hometown had no dog parks of any sort. We joined Cruse but it was a huge fenced yard. That is better than nothing if you love in an apartment but at least there are areas you can take your dog for free.

There are no 'free' dog parks in Springfield. You have to pay an annual fee, show lots of paperwork from veterinarians, and complete all the paper work in order to get a phob that will allow you into the Cruse Dog Park at certain times. Then, after all that, the park itself is below average, no water for swimming. Columbia, MO has the best dogs parks!! After moving here, I, and my dogs, miss all the awesome dog parks in Columbia. I suggest going to Fassnight, or Sequiota, they are not leash free, but no one will say anything if your responsible.
- Beth KnightMore than a year agono off leash area
this is a park, but NOT A DOG PARK. There is no OFF LEASH area and never will be. Someone had mis-information and this should be removed from your site

We looked all around the park, and couldn't find a leash-free area. If Springfield's Parks & Rec department hasn't developed it yet, you might post it to this website so out-of-towners will know!
