This is our favorite park in the area. The regulars are a bunch of good folks who know their dogs and dog behavior.
It’s closed on Wednesdays for maintenance. - KellySep 22, 2020Used to be great
We used to go to Fullerton Pooch Park years ago when they first opened, however, recently, we decided to give it a try again and didn't enjoy our trip there. The grass doesn't seem to be maintained, and there aren't a lot of dogs in the small dog section. Both my dogs are small and in the past, when we witnessed aggressive behavior in the large dog park so we tend to avoid it now. I've gone twice within the last 5 months and both times I heard/witnessed dogs fighting on the large dog side. La Palma Dog park is not my preferred dog park as it's cleaner, has better lighting, and a better crowd.

This dog park is awesome for several reasons. There are three separate sections to it

Has grass and wood chips, plenty of seating for the humans! My dog loves this park. It’s a decent size and there are always lots of dogs there.
Only downsize is it gets muddy in areas where there isn’t any grass. - EbyMore than a year agoMost awesome park for dogs and people comfort
Love this park gas shaded seating for people. Lots of play comforts for dogs. My dog loves it and usually pouts if we go anywhere else

Half grass and half dirt. Toys and water bowls furnished by park. Very clean and well kept.

A great dog park, with a small dog section separately fenced. A few shade trees and benches make it owner-friendly too, and there's plenty of baggies and water available. There's also a third area that has wood chips instead of grass, but my pup hates the harshness under his paws. The one problem with the location is the train tracks are right next to it, so if your dog gets startled easily by loud noises you might not want to go here!
