Haven Beach

The beach is pretty nice with minimal seaweed. However, it’s a small, public beach that isn’t meant specifically for dogs, they’re just welcome.
When we went, it was early July and the water was a perfect temp! It was pretty crowded and you’re in relatively close proximity to other beach goers, but our dogs were the only ones there.
I did end up picking up a lot of glass on the beach shore as well as in the water though, so be weary of that! None of it was sharp though, which i’m guessing the sand and water rounded off the edges.
Additionally, this beach has a lot of waves and while you can wade out, there is a drop off pretty close to shore where swimming becomes necessary for the dogs vs being able to stand in the water. I definitely suggest a life jacket for your dog! For humans though, you can go out pretty far though without it getting too deep - I’m 5ft and was able to venture pretty far away from shore.
Despite the glass, we had a pretty good time and the dogs seemed to love it!
