Emigrant Landing is a day use recreation area on Pyramid Lake in Lebec, CA. Leashed dogs are allowed on the large, sandy beach, in the water, and in boat rentals. SoCal's Hidden Lake Treasure
Perfect summer weather in mid June - warm but not too hot. No crowds or algae yet. $15 entrance fee. Clean bathrooms. Dog area is next swimming area. A bit of a walk from the parking lot.

Closest Desert Swimming Hole
Nice area for dog lake swimming, and has shaded pergolas. Currently going through an algae bloom (July 22), so we ended up leaving pretty quickly unfortunately.
