The water and the trail were genuinely so beautiful. Me and my cane corso have been taking walks at all the trails in NH for a while now. We take a hike everyday and sometimes we need a change of scenery so i decided to try out this trail! Unfortunately a group of four people had 5 off leash dogs with them and all of the dogs off leash. The dogs were at least 50 meters away from their owners at all times. One of the dogs ATTACKED another ON leash dog because the owner wasn't paying attention. 3 of the dog owners didn’t even have a leash on hand. would recommend the trail but bring a dog corrector or pepper spray with you to keep you and your pup safe

We had some trouble finding the parking lot d/t google directions. The walk along the river is great. Kids and dog went swimming near bridge. We had a great time and it was very clean.

You must keep your dog leashes on the fields, but on the trail, almost every single dog owner will have their dog off leash (so if your dog is not friendly, I would not recommend it here). Once you walk through for a while, there is a great sandy beach area for the dogs to jump in the river (very little current). I bring my dog here almost every day! Great environment and friendly people.
