Amazing. Hike to the bottom of an ice cave, then hike around to the top of a (not active) volcano. The trail is covered in smooth crushed lava rock. It’s well taken care of and very clean. We went in early May. The trail bed was not hot, as lava rock is porous it doesn’t hold in heat. But, it is black and looked like it could become hot. Consider doggie shoes if hiking in the summer time as the trails and paths may get hot. Bring your own water, snacks, and doggie poop bags.
