Whitney Portal Picnic Area
Whitney Portal Picnic Area is a dog-friendly space located at the end of Whitney Portal Road in Lone Pine, CA. A popular forested area near a waterfall and small fishing pond, Fido is welcome to accompany you for a hike or picnic but must be leashed. Visitors can also access the Mount Whitney Trailhead or explore Lone Pine Creek and Carillon Creek.
