    Not very useful water fountain

In order to avoid having to pay a parking fee, poochie and I parked in a public lot across town and walked. When we got here, poochie was really needing a drink. There is only a single water fountain, and it is in the large dog side, so small dogs would have to cross over to drink. But it's actually doesn't really work. It trickles out too slowly to fill the bowl, and it is too low for my medium sized dog to drink. Most Parks have some sort of water faucet to fill larger bowls with, but I'm not seeing anything.

We're out here now, but I'm afraid I'm going to have to cut her Play Time short so we can have the energy to walk back before she gets parched.

That's one bone off for the paid parking, another bone for the faulty water fountain, and a third bone off of for not having a proper substitute.

Edit: upon further reflection and a second visit, I've adjusted my rating to three bones: one off for parking, and a full bone off for the water issue altogether. Water aside, it IS an attractive, spacious, and safe park.

    Shady Park to play

We love how big it is! Plenty of shade during summer. Located close to everything. Well maintained too. Dogs and people are very nice.

    Great Park - Except...

I love the dog park at Kiwanis. I've been bringing the dogs here for years. This year, however, someone decided it was necessary to charge $5.00 to park. This has drastically cut down on the number of dogs and their people on any given day, which is sad, because it used to be such a popular place. Don't be so greedy, St. Joe!

    Love it!

It's the best dog park I've been to for the price-free! Owners are friendly- and so are the dogs that go there! Size is very large and my dogs make new friends every time we go!

    Very Enjoyable

Recently took my pug to this park, and it was extremely enjoyable for all. My dog enjoyed playing with the dogs, and running around. My boyfriend and I enjoyed how clean it was, and the shaded area. Would always make a point to stop here when in St.Joe.

    Needs a clean-up!

We visited this park for the first time this summer, and were surprised at how many owners had NOT cleaned up after their dogs. We've never encountered as much dog poo in an off-leash park anywhere else. A shame, as it could be a great dog park -- large and otherwise a good place. Rude dog owners are to blame.

I visited this area recently and thought it was a lovely place for St Joe's pooches to enjoy off leash activities. If someone has a backyard that huge - good for them but I thought the size was more than adequate for dogs to romp, play and fetch with their doggie friends. I could tell by the list of regulations that a lot of thought and dedication went into this space in a multi-use city park that was well maintained and inviting to lots of people.

    Small

Visited this dog park a month or so ago. Quite small and not much more exciting than my backyard. Would like to see something on the beach in this town. It did have benches and drinking fountain for human and doggies. Poop bags available. Like there was a separate area for small and large dogs.
