Just remember this not a dog park

This is a multi-use area for hunting, fishing and yes dog walking. Unfortunately some dog owner think this is their private dog park where everything dog matters and nothing else does.. I don't want to count he number of times I have been fishing, carefully finding my fish and some dog comes running into the water (often chasing a ball or stick thrown by the owner 10 feet from my kayak.) and just destroyed a hour of my careful hunt for fish. Just be conscious of none dog owners and keep your dogs under control so as not to interfere with other users of the area.

Huge park right on the river!!

On the recommendation from a friend we went to Nod Brook twice this week. Off-leash friendly with over 100 acres right on the Farmington River. There are also a few ponds on the property, which of course Willow jumped right into. Awesome place!

Note - The park closes when groups do live fire field dog training. More info on the property and the closure schedule can be found here: http://www.nodbark.com/Default.aspx

    Beautiful Free to Roam

Nod Brook Wildlife Sanctuary large, hidden, river side, pond, grouping of fields, intermittent stream flow, big sky place perfectly set for well behaved canine and their well behaved human pets, to stroll, run, romp with others, take a dip, and remember a fine day.
