Fort Ligonier

Fort Ligonier is a historic museum in Ligonier, PA. You and Fido can enjoy exploring the reconstructed British fort from the French & Indian War. Leashed dogs are welcome to access the grounds by passing through the museum, and there's also a fresh bowl of water outside for visiting pooches. Amazing museum and well maintained fort
Extremely pet friendly. Had my dog in a carrier in the museum and on a leash outside were my dog loved going into the various buildings and looking around. They even had a doggie water bowl outside.

Great museum, extra bonus that dogs are allowed!
While roadtripping through western PA, came across this gem of a museum. The museum and fort was $8 admission with a military discount and dogs are allowed. Dogs are allowed inside the museum, but must be carried on the carpeted areas (75% of the inside is carpet, but our dog is only 25 lbs, so we just carried her on the carpeted areas). If you have a bigger dog though that you can't carry, it is still worth it to go, the outside recreated fort is amazing! The authenticity of the buildings is amazing! Definitely worth while just to see the outside areas. Staff were very friendly and loved that we brought our dog. A really great experience!
