Our girls really wanted to run in the snow and since we’re traveling had to be leashed. This offered them some space to stretch their legs and really enjoy the snow. They had a great time!

Honestly, the park itself isn't bad. Is it fenced in dirt with no grass or trees? Sure. Are there only two big logs and nothing else to do? Absolutely. It's still a fine place to run around off leash, and if your dog is inclined to climb, the logs are fun. For me, it's the people that make it bad. Poop is often left unattended to, there are usually many intact dogs whose attitudes are not being managed, people aren't checking their pups responsibly, and I've seen enough diarrhea there to get a poor impression. The general culture of the park needs work.

I recently moved north so I brought my dogs here today and there was no water. It's literally fenced dirt. I will make the drive to bear creek dog park because this place is a joke. My pups have thick fur and were miserable because there is no shade or water! plus there is dog poop everywhere.

This dog park is horrible! It's just a big fenced in lot, a bunch of dirt and poop. We've gone for husky meet ups or because we were near it, but I won't ever go again. People just let their dog loose and don't control them, never pick up after their pups. There is only dirt/mud no grass. If you go up in the Regional Palmer park area (the back road right next to the park) it can be really beautiful. There are hiking trails, they all say on leash though. Some of the higher trails have a fantastic view of downtown Colorado Springs and pikes peak!

This park is fine. If you live close, this park is a good option. It's big enough for the dogs to run around and have fun and has water for the dogs. The only downside is that the people here aren't particularly welcoming. My medium sized dogs have been attacked by several unsupervised small dogs and the owners just laughed it off. Just because the dog is small does NOT make an attack funny. Of course I've often encountered this problem with small dog owners in different parks too.

This "dog park" was full of unsupervised dogs in packs. My dog was cornered and almost attacked by pitbulls. I don't want to imagine what would of happened if i hadn't waded in yelling and kicking. And NO ONE noticed or tried to help. Seriously ghetto. I wish I could rate it -1

This is not a dog park. There is more dirt than grass, the people who bring their dogs are rude. It is just a bad place to take a dog unless your dog likes the desert.

This is a terrible dog park and it is just how the other reviewers have described it. No one watches their dogs here and actually takes care of them they just leave them to run around and do whatever they want. There have been numerous fights at this park, the owners don't clean up after their dogs etc. will never bring my pack to this park again.
- ChrisMore than a year agoThis is a bad dog park.
None of the dog owners here watch their dogs actions or pick up after them. The big dirt field is full of poop and with only two logs to sit on, that's the the owners sit. We had top leave after my wife was pee'd on by someones dog. No clue whom the owner was, but it looks like they didn't care. Never coming back to this park again. Sad really, the rest of Palmer Park is great.
- MichaelMore than a year agoNo grass
nothing but a big dirt square and two old logs. seriesly, that's it.
- HollyMore than a year agoNot for small dogs
In this small fenced area, large dogs frequently pack together and attack other dogs, especially small ones. The small dog pen is so small it is probably not worth making the trip. I will never take my small dogs to this park again because of the attacks.
