I used to love coming here in college (before I had a dog) to read or study inside. I loved the chill vibes. Now I visit with my pups! Wasn't too busy when we were there. The yard is shaded by a large, beautiful tree. The only downside is that owners may be working/reading and not paying attention when their dog poos. I saw that happen a few times. So be mindful when walking around.

Awesome dog park. The cafe attached is good, the prices are fair and the food/drink selection is good. Access to the park requires a purchase from the Cafe! Only giving 4 bones because the area is a bit small for that many dogs. Will come back!

This dog park is small, but, nice atmosphere. Some of the dog were very aggressive, however, the dogs did listen when their owners called to them. Clean up bags and a scooper was available. As well as water bowls and faucet for fresh water. Must purchase from Cafe to use park. Cafe staff friendly.

Didn't know the rule even existed till I came on here to rate the place. Apparently that's an old rule by a previous owner. My pit had a blast running around with all sorts of dogs. I enjoyed a cup of coffee and a bagel. We will be back.

I really like this place and I think it is a great place for my dog to run around and play. However a lot of owners will drop their dog off for hours and leave. Their dogs are unattended for a long time and I worry about one of them hurting my dog. I've also seen a dog try to dominate other dogs for hours and the owner was either not there or did not care. One time there were about 8 dogs in the park and only 3 humans so unless one people just owned a lot of dogs, the numbers don't make sense.

ParkGround has an off-leash dog park attached! And now they have a full bar as well! It's also a good place for lunch. The kitchen closes before dinner.

I have been going here since before I even had a dog. Great concept- coffee shop (now bar) & off-leash dog park. Kind of small, but it is on the middle of a neighborhood. Friendly staff.

Very muddy! The dogs are not allowed inside so you must leave them unattended.

First, I have no prob with pitts, many go to the dog park I frequent, that being said, please understand that many of the rules around Pitts involved insurance companies, so if you want to do business you play by their rules....it is unfortunate, and yes unfair but the fight is at a higher level. I enjoyed brining my dog here and really like the available options. I have a large dog so it is a little small but he still gets to socialize and I get my coffee.... makes us both Happy :) :) :)

My husband and I took my German shepherd there so she could play while we had breakfast. We ALL loved the place! Good food, good atmosphere, and friendly dogs.

Great place and no piitts! I have always had issues with Pitts unfortunately its nice to go to a place where I know my lab pup is safe.
- MichelleMore than a year agoif I could give zero bones I would
They discriminate against pit bulls and pittie mixes. Any dog person worth her salt knows it is not about the breed. I have met many an unstable dachshund and lab in my day. Shouldn't those breeds be banned, too? (I won't let my dogs anywhere near a dachshund.) It is racist to ban a breed like this.

Ok so the park was nice. And my German shepherd loved it. But my pit couldn't! Not fair they should take out that rule.

This place is GREAT! The people are super-nice, the coffee is great, the food is awesome, and the dogs play and play and play. The owner was there and was an especially gracious host, taking time to chat and show us around. We really enjoyed our experience and will definitely be back.

new to Atlanta so in my search for a nice dog park I came across this place. I've never been and never seen it, but find it disgusting that a dog park would discriminate against a breed. I purposely saved a pit bull mix from an animal shelter because of the negative views on pit bulls.
All dogs are the same, there are only bad owners. I don't think the underground illegal pit bull fighting circuits want to bring them to a nice public dog park so it's insane to deny all dogs of that breed from a park. My dog Maleigh is the friendliest dog ever, loves and plays with my 11 month old son and went to the dog park every saturday in our last city.
If you're educated enough to start a dog park, one would think you would be educated enough to understand there are no such thing as bad breeds.

I really loved Parkgrounds! First off, the coffee was great! They have a great fenced in area for the dogs to run around. There is a giant tree in the middle that provides some shade and the areas is a combination of mulch and grass. The offer poop bags to clean up after your dog and people did a pretty good job of doing so. We sat in the dog area with our coffees at one of the multiple tables and chairs. People were able to let their dogs run while the worked on their laptops or read. We will definitely be bringing our furry friend back! Great Coffee, Great Service and Great atmosphere for dog lovers!!!
