What a great park. Love the fact that there are 2 separate areas for large and small dogs. Plenty of running room, shade, water and extra poop bags should you forget or run out of your own. There are several seating areas (also in the shade) and there were friendly pups and owners there when I went. Will definitely take advantage of this area on a regular basis!

Don't nlame the park, dogs pick up ticks anywhere and everywhere. Would you rather they spray the grass with insecticide? I would rather have the occasional vermin than expose my dog to toxins.

We have taken our pugs here for years and have always loved this park for them. Today when we came home for just about 1 hour of time with them at the park I saw a dark spot on my fawn pug. Eventually about 6 of them have been found. I never thought this would be an issue at this park but it is now. It will be some time before we go back to this park. Getting ready now for tick treatment to get rid of the bugs!!!

I take my dogs there frequently. I have 2 Dachshunds, foster 1 Dachshund, & have 2 extremely elderly Dalmatians. The park is divided into the small dog (under 18") & large dog sections. I cannot be in both places at once, so I keep the Dalmatians on leash, but take them into the small dog section with me. Nobody seems to mind my big dogs in with the little guys since they are leashed. Most people pick up after their dogs, but one still has to keep an eye out for "land mines" Sometimes there are many dogs present. & an owner may not see his/her dog relieving itself, so Poop happens. There are picnic benches & tables for the people to rest at & each table has a water bowl for the dogs. All entrances are double gated so the chance of a runaway is slim. Plenty of room in both sections for a great workout for both dog & owner. Everybody I've encountered there seems friendly. I've never seen an angry encounter between any dogs either.
