    Lovely Area...

The actual area is nice. But as others have said it gets muddy.

The only qualm I have with this park is that there is no legitimate path back to the area and if the ground is wet, beware the mud. You may lose a shoe.

I had to give my dog a bath after leaving just because of the how dirty he got walking back there.

    Lovely park but

We love this park and our 19 month old rescue has made many dog friends. It's a great place to let dogs run.
    A couple of tips;
    - Bring water for your dog
    - Don't bring treats unless you want a Lot of attention.
    BEWARE
There is a 3 year old, unneutered pit bull named Spanky. Dog is white/black & wears a very lose harness. He is aggressive & owner cannot control the dog. Dog is unpredictable and owner is clueless. & irresponsible.

    Beautiful

Large enough for your high energy dog to run flat out! Beautiful grass and places to sit. My dog just loved it. Can get very muddy after heavy rain so be sure to bring a towel. Only complaint, garbage can not near the area but in the parking lot so you have to take poopbag with you.

    Great Park!

I go here often and have had great experiences up until today. My friend's dog was bitten by a German Shepard named Shadow, so watch out for a big black german shepherd, but in general all the dogs we have met here have been friendly and the park is well maintained

    irresponsible dog owner

WATCH OUT FOR A LARGE BLACK AND WHITE DOG NAMED SNOOPY and his owner, a short haired blond woman in her 50's (maybe). Snoopy bit SEVERAL dogs at the dog park and the owner insists on keep bringing him to the park. Every time her dog bites another dog she says she is upset but NEVER takes responsibility. My dog had to have stitches on his ear and she always manages to get away from the situation BUT SHE KEEPS COMING BACK WITH HER DOG TO THE DOG PARK! I don't know her name but she owns a black Infinity SUV

    Current state of park

A nice area for dogs to run and play.
Recently, my dog escaped through some hole/holes in the fence. Need to trust that a place you bring your dog to to play is secure.
I managed to get her back after 40 minutes of calling her.
Also it is terribly muddy after rain and at this time of year. Last year they put straw down to prevent human falls. This year not.
Neglect is apparent for this park which is a shame given the amount of taxes we pay in Basking Ridge

    It's Not Bad

I've been here several times with and without my dog. The times I have not been with my dog is when I was just cleaning the park up, and picking up the trash and throwing out poop. A sign has been added to prevent the littering. It is now better. It is a decent size, that is fenced in. The amount of people depends on which day you go and what time of day. Some times there are good dog owners there, other times there are not as good dog owners. There is a rack for hanging up your dogs leash that I like. The garbage is sometimes overflowing, it can get a bit muddy after it rains or after the snow melts, and there may be ice patches in the cold weather. I enjoy going here when there are responsible dog owners and it is a warm day where I can just throw a ball around for my dog. There are a few young trees for shade.

    IRRESPONSIBLE pet owners

Too many irresponsible , pet owners to count! No wonder why it was ready to be shut down! Pple stare @ their phones when their dogs are being aggressive and act like they don't see and/or if they don't want to clean up dog waste! Many sit on their fat asses talking too much, about other pple Well at least your dog will love you?l

Great place to meet other dogs and humans. Everyone has been very friendly and all dogs have been well behaved and/or controlled by their owner. Good socialization experience for any dog,

Could be 5 bones w/out snobs & ignorance

This is a DOG park! Dogs play like DOGS! if you do not want your dog around other dogs? why do you come here!? It's a Nice park, a lo t of grass, enough seats and shade, bring your own water, most pple are friendly but some? Think their dogs are people when it comes to play time w/other dogs.

    Great place to run

My dog loves to come here and run from one end to the other as it's a really nice size. It's mostly grass with some wood chips so unless it's muddy, he doesn't get super dirty. Chairs and a couple benches for the humans to sit on. As usual, the only problem is the owners that don't watch their dogs behavior.
