The dogs there are soooo friendly
- PaigeJul 22, 2023Never again
We’ve gone with our pooch three times. I always keep my dog on the leash as a precaution. 1st time was normal. 2nd time a loose dog came and peed on my bag. The owner did nothing. The 3rd time, we were in the water and a dog came and peed on my coverup. I don’t know who the owners were but no one came to say anything. Then, two dogs came up and tried to attack my dog (a tiny mix breed) and one ended up biting her. The owner said oh they didn’t mean any harm. Like what?!

1st time to a beach with my dog and he ended up with 2 tooth punctures in his right hind quarter from another dog. 15 min at dog beach and 2 hours at emergency vet.
- SophieMar 11, 2023Lovely beach!
Lots of dogs off leash, all were well behaved and enjoying the water
- LyneFeb 3, 2023We will go back!
perfect beach with your dog. Clean, poeple are very nice and it’s free between 9am to 3pm. You will have to pay the parking. Very busy during the week-end. Don’t forget to bring water for your dog.
- EddieSep 22, 2022Great place for dogs
We come here almost everyday. Best time is weekdays early in the day, if you don’t like crowds. Parking sometimes is hard to find and it is pricey ($4.25/hr on weekends) but it is all worth it. My pup has a lot of fun there running around and making new friends.
- MashaAug 12, 2022Awesome place for dogs and their people
Very excited to have discovered this beach- it’s small enough for the dogs not to run away and big enough to have lots of room to play.
- NicoleApr 18, 2022Great dog beach!
we had an amazing time at this dog beach, recommend getting there early as it gets crowded
- Ted R.Mar 5, 2022Best dog beach we've found!
THIS is a dog beach! Hollywood Dog Beach Florida. 💖
Riley played like this the entire time we were here!
Leashes optional, everyone managed their animals and not a single fight.
I think EVERY community should give a mile or so of their beach to “dog freedom”. Fewer and fewer places allow dogs. 😢 Give everyone a place to do their thing! - KarenFeb 27, 2022Nearly Impossible To Park
We went there on a Sunday afternoon at 3:00. did not realize that the parking near the small section of dog beach is on the side streets perpendicular to the beach. there were so many people lined up waiting for spaces to open that we left without going to the beach. very disappointing.
- AngieJan 4, 2022Loved it!
We were thrilled to discover Dog Beach last week and went several times while down in the area. We were never charged a fee and all of us, especially our pup, loved being at the beach together. We found everyone to be friendly and respectful and it was a hoot watching all of the dogs run, dig in the sand, and play!

Even though you have to pay daily or monthly. It’s the best place to visit with your dog. They relax on the beach and people going there is nice and friendly mostly. Our dog loves to visit the place.
- DonnaApr 3, 2020Nope
I haven't even been there yet but I'm disgusted they charge people access. I'm new in town. Is there anywhere we can go that doesn't charge?
- ManonFeb 24, 2020Complicated To Get On The Beach
Wow, it was quite complicated to finally get on the beach. First you have to wait for the allotted time
- MicheleneDec 30, 2019Expensive
Before you head out there just know other than the shortened hours we are allowed there you pay minimum of $14 to just get on the beach. $4/hr to park and $10 to get on the beach and there is only a fee when you enter with a dog.
- OrlandoJan 10, 2019great beach
Love bringing my dog here, water is always clean and most owners are responsible in cleaning up after their pets. The only complaint i have is that if you plan on bringing an umbrella for shade expect it to get pee'd on by every male dog around

Great Place to take them!
As long as there is not RedTie in area.
A problem in South Florida Beaches. - KiaraMore than a year agoLoved the Dog Beach
This dog beach is my favorite! We live close to the Key Biscayne dog-friendly beach but it is stinky and gross! I loved playing in the waves and with the other dogs. Since we aren't residents of Hollywood it costs $10 to get in, but it is still so worth it!
- SolangeMore than a year agohorrible place
ranger Arango is the most rudest person, he first charges us $20.90 for the dogs and just because one of my dogs barked at another dog he told us not to enter. I told him I wanted my money back and very conveniently told us he could not refund me the money and to deal with it or he would call the cops if I didn't leave. basically he robbed us blindly. I am reporting the city of Hollywood and social media of this matter. I will never ever come back to this place again. he was a jerk and laughed at us as he told us too bad you can't get your money back.
- DanielMore than a year agoGreat Beach
Beach itself was great. Yes, it would be nice if there were more beaches open to dogs and on days other than the weekend... but that doesn't justify lowering the rating of the location itself... (Looking at you other reviewer person).
- RichardMore than a year agomore beach areas open
More beaches should allow well behaved owners access
- LMore than a year agoClean beach
Wonderful stretch of clean, beautiful off-leash dog beach where dogs can run & play & swim in the ocean. check website for hours; they change for summer & winter.
