I am mainly forced to come to this dog park because it is the closest one to me and I don’t have a yard for my baby to play in.
The park is decently sized, for sure, but full of sand and little shade. Would prefer if they implemented some grass or wood chips to mix things up and planted some more trees.

This park is the most well maintained park in the South Bay for its large size. Volunteers work tirelessly to keep the grounds maintained for the well being of our pets. The land is provided by the city but is maintained by a nonprofit who needs donations to keep it running as nicely as they do. The dogs that go there are amazing and it's a lot of the same visitors so you know the dogs and owners. Everyone who cares about their dog isn't on their phones while they are there. Those who are tend to not watch their dogs and don't interact with them unfortunately. Nonetheless the park is awesome. Bring a towel so you can clean your pup off after as they can roll around in the dirt. Love this place and we go to it twice a day!

The Redondo Beach Dog Park has a large space for the larger dogs, and a much smell area for small dogs. We used the small side since we have a puppy. It smelt so bad approaching the entrance, within the small area and the gate to enter. The urine smell was so strong that it left our noses burning and our pups paws reeking like urine. The city needs to maintain the grounds and overturn and lay need dirt frequently.
Dog parks are a place for dogs to run and socialize. The owners don't really allow their dogs to socialize or play. Basically use the space to sit and stand and call their dogs to stand next to them.

i don't know what i would do without this place
my dog loves this place and has earned respect
from his elders and the dogs who already were here before him still and he knows his place and now he teaches the puppys
Its place to let your dog release some of that energy and even make them tired that no walk can do - Monique caineMore than a year agoLarge Open Spaces
This dog park is quite large with seperate area's for small /large dogs. Dogs run, play, and chase each other while the pet owners interact! Always a nice cool ocean breeze! Great fun for your dog/s!!!

There is a website for this park with rules and regulations etc.
I have tried to go there a few times, but I didnt like the characters. The park gets REALLY crowded at the usual peak times and it seems to have a rough crowd (Im talking about the dogs, not the owners).
Its pretty much a big dirt pile.
Its understandable, its the only decent sized off leash park for several miles.
