Lucayan National Park
Lucayan National Park is a pet-friendly park in High Rock, Bahamas. Leashed dogs are welcome to join their owners on the boardwalks and trails at this 40-acre park that protects one of the world’s longest charted underwater cave systems. Hike one of the park's easy loops with your pooch, including a top loop to Ben’s Cave, a Sea Cave and Hammock, as well as a former burial ground. Then, check out Bahamian flora and fauna on the bottom loop through the Mangroves to Gold Rock Beach.

We enjoyed our visit to Lucayan National Park today. The park ranger who greeted us and gave an overview was kind to our pup. The park is beautiful, particularly the caves. It's a quick visit, with about an hour walking all told, but you can also spend time swimming at the lovely Gold Rock Beach, know as the welcome Mat of Grand Bahama.
