  Rules should be followed

  Nice place to bring your dog. I hope it gets cleaned up a little in Spring '23. My complaints are for something most people would agree with.. #1 Close the doors so dogs can't run out.. #2 If your dog poops, please pick it up like the majority of people do, don't leave it and walk away... #3 Large dogs are constantly in the small dog area and their owners don't care about the rules. This is not right.

  Excellent dog park.

  Both the small and bigger (35+lbs) have very high fences that look 8’ high. Smaller dog section has 4 benches throughout and a couple huge rocks ppl sit on, plus a shaded area w multiple trees. Water fountain for ppl inside and for dogs as well. There are two gates to go through with th idea that the one gate is closed before opening the second gate to prevent dogs from escaping. This is an excellent feature. Downside is the space/gap between each gate door and poles they align with are about 4”. I have a lean dog a foot tall. I exited w the leash on into the small enclosed area between gate doors and my dog proceeded to step fwd and exit through the space with the gate closed. Not an issue for post dogs. Had mine not had the leash on he”d have bounded free to, in his mind, go run and play in the woods.
  Also despite signs to keep one door closed at all times both doors are opened briefly when a few ppl are leaving. An energetic dog could bound through both open doors in about 2 seconds literally. But I still go. The dog has a great time!!

  Hard to find-help

  I drove around in circles trying to find it and my poor dog didn't enjoy it either. Is there an address or road to go to? I'm coming from West Orange.

  awful

  the fenced-in area is poorly maintained and little shade is available. there are zero signs on the trails, which, by the way, were ankle sprains waiting to happen. Brookdale Park is FAR superior.

  The dog park is in the South MOUNTAIN Reservation, not South Orange; and it is in the township of MAPLEWOOD. No dog is permitted in any park in South Orange.

  loved it!

  We went to the small dog park. My dog can be a little frightened of rowdy play, but there was plenty of space for him to wander away from the group and fun equipment to keep him occupied.

  Found-digital camera on Sunday, October 14 at dog park. Has pics on it. If you can identify it, I'd like to return it to it's rightful owner. please respond by leaving your email address with a description of the camera and pics on it.

  The Best!

  This dog park is the best place to meet very friendly dogs and people. Clean, large (two parks - small (<= 35 lbs.) and large (>35 lbs.), fresh water and fountains, disposal waste bags (and owners are diligent about using them), toys and trick props... we've been there every day since I discovered it on Bringfido.com. It's raining today - now what are we going to do????

  Great Place For Your Dog

  This place is really amazing. It has 2 fenced in areas: one for larger dogs and another for pups! It has toys and activities for your dog as well as water poop bags. Its a great place! They are doing some construction it looks like they are expanding
