I have gone to LOTS of off leash parks and have the three rovers pass, but I am moving south and wanted to see what this was all about. Staring lake was awesome! Smaller venue, but had access to toys and a short loop of trail. I liked that the trail was not woodchips, but packed dirt/sand as this is normally a Nordic ski trail in the winter (this park is closed December to March)

Bring my dog here almost every day, there are always happy friendly people here with their dogs. Have recommended it to many freinds and will continue to recommend to friends and family, even went to the park and there was about 20 brand new tennis balls in the toy bin.

Was hoping it had some access to the lake, but even though it doesn't it has a lot of nice shaded trails through the woods. Has a decent field to play fetch and some benches and a picnic table when you first walk in. Also plenty of paved on leash trails nearby if you want to explore further. Closes at 10pm same as the park, but you wouldn't want to be there after dark anyway.

Would have been cool to know its closed in the winter.....

I had a great time running at the park. Lots of trails to explore and many other dog butts to sniff. I got pretty dirty so i am guessing the pack leader will throw me in big white water fall and put those white bubbles on me. I hope to return to the park one day

There is plenty of space to run on the trails and through the woods of Eden Prairie's Staring Lake dog park. Dog friendly water fountain near the parking lot (human version too).

Access is near the baseballs fields and shares the same parking lot. The entrance is a double gate which is nice. Upon entering there is a smaller open area and a picnic table to your right with various dog bowls. I suggest taking the first path on your right and following the fence line until you enter the next section which has stairs. This park is one big loop, and is mainly tight paths and wooded. It takes around 20 minutes to walk the perimeter. I have only been there once, but the person I met was very friendly as well as her dogs. Does not cost money which is a plus!
