Mission Garden

Mission Garden in Tucson, AZ, is a living museum that embodies the region's rich agricultural history, tracing over 4,000 years. Situated at the base of scenic Sentinel Peak, also known as "A" Mountain, this lush oasis in the Sonoran Desert is a re-creation of the Spanish Colonial walled garden that was part of Tucson's historic San Agustín Mission. Today, dog-friendly Mission Garden showcases a variety of gardens that demonstrate the evolution of plant cultivation and agricultural practices through the centuries, from ancient Native American crops to Spanish colonial orchards, right up to heritage fruit trees and vegetable gardens representing the many cultures that have influenced the area over the millennia. Leashed dogs are welcome to join you as you explore its peaceful pathways, flourishing plant life, and educational displays. Visit Website
