- KarliJun 10, 2022Good park, for large dogs
I went with my two 4.5 month old pups (10 & 16 pounds) to the small dog area and only 2 dogs showed up in couple hours. But, the large dog side was very popular and people with under 25 pound dogs were taking their dogs on the large dog side. The small dog side was very clean, but I saw owners didn’t clean up the poop on the large dog side. I decided to take the pups to the large dog side and held the 10 pound one. I let the 16 pound one play, and it was going well at first (the adult large dogs were very good) but someone with a rude shepherd mix? puppy (probably around 20 pounds) was letting their puppy growl and try to play too rough with mine so we left because my pup got scared. The park was beautiful and I’d return, but hopefully there will be more small dogs. Additionally, I had terrible service at the park.

checked this out for the first time the other day. the area is huge with a wooded area as well, all fenced in. the park is almost too big that the dogs don’t bother paying attention to each other. also not the brightest people come here. one lady took her dog from the small dog park and put it in the big part and then freaked out when all the big ones surrounded her tiny dog yelling “who’s dog is this one?!”. another owner payed no attention when his dog was nipping at mine causing her to yelp with her tail between her legs. we didn’t stay long. we go to a closer much smaller park in the area where the owners have some sense.

As I went to this park, I was pleasantly surprised! The area is very large for and provides seating. There is also a fenced in area for a forest which can be used to teach your dog off leash walking. I recommend coming here, especially if you have a large dog.

- MichelleMore than a year agoA wonderful park
This is a big beautiful park! I go here all the time and it's funny how you can remember everyone's dogs names but not the owners! People are extremely friendly. I wish they would interact with there dogs more but letting them run around playing with others is really what it's all about. There is ample room for dogs to run free. A wonderful park.

Winter 2015: Been going weekly with my lab. Plenty of room for the dogs to play. Friendly people. Everyone seems to be picking up after their dogs. The field is mostly dirt as a result of the active play so a bath is a must after going but no better way to socialize the dogs. My lab is playing regularly with huskys, pit bulls, st. bernards, other labs and everything in between. Awesome place.
- Dog loverMore than a year agobad owners
its too bad that some owners don't know about dogs and bad dog behavior. they just yell at other owners that say something to them. I have been going for a month now and my dog loves it. but when one dog keeps nippimg and making my dog yelp with her tail between her legs..and he said I was too protective of my dog. I will have to think twice going again. there should be some kind of way to keep these owners/dogs out.
- JoanMore than a year agopuddles and manure ruins the experience
Unfortunately, this otherwise beautiful park has too many puddles and way too much horse manure. It's really a shame.
- GoldieMore than a year agoVery Disappointing
Long time local resident, we had frequented the park when it first opened up and have not had the opportunity to go back until last week, the park was absolutely filthy with dog poop every where you stepped,. Owners seemed too busy on their phones to interact with or discipline their dogs. After 5 minutes we left this disgusting park very disappointed.

There are not enough places on Long Island where one can bring a dog to commune with other dogs.
Congratulations on creating one of the few places where they can do so safely and in a wonderful setting. I don't have a dog but I love to see them get together. It makes me happy to see them happy.
