Lots of space and trails to walk your pup. be sure to check for ticks afterwards.

While we are not a "dog park," we're not sure where Joe in Piscataway gets his information. Pets are welcome, although we ask that you keep them on-leash and please pick up after them. We have many visitors, including children, and want it to be a safe and happy experience for everyone AND their pets. There are lots of paths and areas to walk through the grounds and surrounding woodlands.

Right. Dogs MUST be on leash in Rutgers Gardens. The introduction -- above-- is giving a different message.

Rutgers Gardens is not good for dogs. Dogs not on leash are reported to the police. A guy was bitten once in the woods by a dog not on leash. Now everybody is told to take pictures of people with dogs not on leash and of their cars,to take them to court in case of problems.
