Watching my dogs run through this park is sheer joy because they have so much room. It is true that you do need to have dogs that will walk with you and obey your commands. The park is certainly large enough that you never have to walk dogs toward the end with heavy traffic. It is a multi-use park, but the frisbee players are generally dog friendly. The only bad experiences I have had have been with people walking dogs on leashes, and both the dogs and owners are hostile. But it rarely happens. There is water on the west side near the playground. Bring your own poop bags.

This is one of ABQ's prettier parks, lots of hills and trees. But it is not fenced and does boarder a busy street on the North side. The other things to be aware of at this park is it is a multi use park, with ultimate frisbee, runners, walkers, many homeless folks and picnickers. For an easily distracted dog it can be somewhat nerve racking. If your dog tends to chase after joggers, or take food from little kiddos, or all the other things younger, or less trained dogs do, they will find it at this park. For those with dogs that are well behaved and stay close, this can be a very enjoyable park. No water available.

It should be noted that this dog park is not fenced/roam free and has no water available.

Very little shade and filled with dog poop... the large dog area is pretty nice... my dog, who is small, spent a lot of time in the big dog area, and enjoyed it, but got rolled a few times.
