    North Augusta Greeneway

    The North Augusta Greeneway is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization that is working to create a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and connecting corridors. Previously an unused railroad corridor, this dog-friendly "rail-trail" is now a great place to walk Fido in North Augusta! The map below shows a parking area with convenient access to the North Augusta Greeneway Park.       Best in the CSRA!

      This is probably the best all-around location for dog lovers and their pups! The Greenway is expansive and provides many miles of paved roads for running/walking/playing. Included is the NORTH AUGUSTA PARK PARK--a really neat, well-kept dog park that is shaded with plenty of activities for dogs. Located directly on the trail and perfect for the "walk then play" day trips to the Greenway. The Greenway is now home to the Augusta Greenjackets baseball stadium as well as new developments which also make it a must-see destination that combines scenic trails with city living. The park also has tennis courts, restarants, several boat docks, kyaking, nature swamps, and so much more. Take your pups--you won't regret it!
