Pennypack Trail

The Pennypack Trail is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization that is working to create a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and connecting corridors. Previously an unused railroad corridor, this dog-friendly "rail-trail" is now a great place to walk Fido in Philadelphia! The map below shows a parking area with convenient access to the Pennypack Trail. Rails-to-Trails Conservancy has generously provided map data for this trail to Bring Fido for informational purposes only. For more detailed trail information, please visit TrailLink.com. A great place to walk with your dog!

I'm a dog walker and pet sitter and I love bringing my more energetic clients over to the park! Since my neighborhood still lacks a proper dog park, Pennypack Trail is honestly one of the best places to bring your dog if you live in the area....and even if you don't! You can walk the shorter trails for a quick commute, or you can stop and smell the flowers along some (or all!) of the longer trails. You could spend an entire day in the park just walking these trails, if you really wanted to! If you're nearby, skip your usual walking route and head on down to the park! Your dog will love discovering all of the new sights and smells to explore!
