I’ve brought my pup a few times and she had always had a good experience. most of the owners and dogs are great, unfortunately some people are uneducated on their own dogs body language and we have seen other dogs act aggressively but nothing significant.

overall nice park, but we did find it quite messy. lot of trash and shredded toys was laying around. beware if your pup tense to pick up stuff.

Some of the reviews here misrepresent the park, negatively reviewing it based on the person issuing the park permits. Medway dog park no longer requires a permit, all dogs are welcome! I bring my pup regularly and we always have a great time! Generally there has been at least one other dog present when we have visited, and it's especially busy on Saturday and Sunday, with all the pups playing together! Everyone is very friendly and conscientious of keeping the park clean and safe, and there is lots of room for dogs of all breeds and sizes to roam and play! One of our favourite parks!

We are going to bring a Golden pup into our lives and I was looking forward to going back to the Medway dog park where I brought my Jake many years ago. I was very disappointed to find that putting your dog at significant health risk is a requirement of getting a license. We will NOT be neutering our dog after reading the extensive research on the significant negative health consequences of it. We are more than happy to take complete responsibility of our dog. It would make sense to say that owners shouldn't bring their dogs when in heat rather than require dangerous surgery.

I think this is a great dog park. I have never been asked for a permit nor have I seen anyone else be asked. There are places to sit, shady areas, the whole place is covered with wood chips and the area is ample for active dogs to let loose. I wish there were a fenced, off-leash park like this closer to home.

Must have a permit. Dog officer who issues the permits was informative but abrasive. If your town does not have a dog officer for her to contact regarding your dog's personality and history, your application will not be approved. I was really interested in the small dog section too, though I heard from a few people that it can get overcrowded. Bummer.

The locals here can be a pain in the ass, disrespectful, bad dog owners

A wonderful place to bring the dog! With plenty of shade, mulch, dog waste bags and both a large and small dog section this dog park is perfect for local residents.
