We hiked for an hour and when we returned to the car found all these little white bugs all over our bodies and all over our dog. We called the ranger and he said these were nymph ticks. I’m quite familiar with ticks and have never seen so many all over. I also woke up the next day with a circular tick rash despite showering. It’s not a safe trail... at least in September.

I took a quick 30 min hike with my dog, and she loved it. However, there are these tiny little ticks that latched on to my sneakers and her paws. This was in August.

We tried to go in May and had to turn back because I kept finding ticks on my dog. Thankfully he is on tick prevention meds but I am not as fortunate. I am sure during the winter months it is a beautiful hike.
