Went the other day for the first time, and found the entrance to be a little confusing. There is no fence near the entrance, and dog owners seemed to have a hard time determining if their dog should be off leash or not, in the parking area. Also, the park requires an entry fee, but the payment must be made online, which would be fine if the park had reliable cell service. I find it kind of absurd to require a fee at a dog park with no fence or amenities, and besides, almost nobody was stopping at the kiosk to read the rules or pay for a daily pass. That whole system could be improved. Other than that, it's a great space!

We drove from Minneapolis to checkout this park based on reviews. We were looking for a large dog park where our dog could socialize with other dogs and run solo - like the Minnehaha Falls-area dog park. Our terrier was in heaven running through the fields and wooded areas of the park looking for squirrels. After a run, the river is there for cooling off. The only downside was the mosquitoes. BAD. This is a well-maintained park and the people are friendly. 5 stars.
- Karen L.More than a year agoExcellent Park with caveats
Crow Hassan has 40 acres for dogs to run freely! Strong caveat is that entry side of the park along the road is not fenced so it is important you keep your dog leashed until you are well in the park (or have a dog with good recall). Park has large open spaces, wooded areas and a river - prety much everything a dog could want. Plenty of parking, on-site restrooms and poop bags for the dogs. Crow Hassan allows use of birds for training and there are owners training hunting dogs on birds with blanks/starter pistols from time to time. Majority of owners friendly and responsible - as are the dogs. High recommend for active dogs who need a good run.

Another gem in MN to bring your dog for a wonderful day out. Their is one main trial leading from the parking lot in a long loop. Several trails branch off from this a few leading back to the parking area. This park has a huge field, nicely wooded area and the Crow river to play and swim in, what more could a dog want? Everyone was very friendly and the park was not crowded at all,!

Pretty good walking trails (3 miles or so), tons of friendly dogs and people, and a nice cool river to play in--our dogs favorite place to go! There's also a bathroom (glorified unisex porti-potty) and they even provide bags if you forget to bring your own.
