Huge small dog park. great dog owners. very shady and good trails
- MaiDec 26, 2021Large, wooded, fenced
Small and large dog park are adjoining; there are agility props in both. The areas are mulched, with some grass, and have plenty of trees and running room. Has water fountains, but no swimming/splashing area. Best in the immediate San Antonio area.

This is a wonderful park to take four legged friends for nearly everything. The trails are clearly marked and the dog parks are both expansive and conducive to awesome socialization opportunities. There have been a few issues with some dogs in the dog park that I've hear about, but that falls on the owners not working to ensure their dogs are fit to be in a (very) public park. Pets are not allowed in the children's play ground (leash or no leash), and the trails make for a lovely trek. Get there early to miss the craziness!

We took our two fur babies to check this place out and we were surprised. It was clean and absolutely awesome. The dog park and trails were well kept and the people were nice too. We will be back and I highly recommend this park!

This is such a nice place to take your dog. There is a separate area for little dogs. Both the big and little dog areas have lots of trees and plenty of water. Almost everyone is very responsible about picking up there dog poop and they provide plenty of bags and trash receptacles to get the job done. My dog loves to run and play with the other dogs. He is only 15 pounds but if there are no dogs in the park, he will go to the gate of the big dog area so he can play with some dogs. So, I take him because he isn't afraid of the big dog and I feel safe enough because the owners of the dogs are quick to respond if their dog gets rough. I have taken my dog there many times and McCoy and I have never had a bad visit!

Brought our ridgie mix mid-afternoon on Saturday and she had a great time. Good amount of dogs and responsible owners. Wonderful park for her to socialize with other dogs. She had a great time! Will definitely be coming back to this park!

I recommend this park to new dog owners. It's a great way for your dog to socialize!

We went yesterday with our two babies. I feel like human and dog parks should have the same rules. Watch and clean up after your kids. You see tour dog poop please pick it up and when your dog is getting crazy and a dog fight breaks out don't just stand and watch or laugh while another person is trying to separate YOUR dog from their's. Pet parents are not responsible here AT ALL!!!

I have a puppy and he has never been to a dog park or really just interacted with dogs! He was a little nervous, and he is goin to have to get used to it, but the regular dogs are AWESOME! They aren't aggressive and owners are nice too! Nice big area to play, water fountains, it's great! I will definitely be going back!

I was there a few days and it was perfect then we went to the other side and 1 there is no parking and it took us almost 30 minuets to find a parking spot then we get out and have to walk a little while 2when we got there I had to hold my 2 little dogs while my dad took my big dog but I had to walk them through the big dog park to get to the little dog park my dogs were scared to death 3 my big dog was all ways having to brake up a fight between dogs and then we had to leave

Dog park has mostly well-behaved owners and dos. the 2 areas-smaller dogs + bigger dogs--are pretty poop-free. however, the nearby walking trail loop has poop bags that owners leave by the side of the trail. BAD OWNER, BAD!

This is a well built dog park for Texas. Lots of trees, lots of shades, plenty of water avaliable, and lots of friendly dogs with their nice people. Only used the big dog side of the park but the small dog side looked very nice as well. I will definately be taking my girls back while we're here in San Antonio!

I had the worst time finding this park with the listed address. I finally had to go to a pet salon to find out where it was. The entrance to Hardberger park is on Blanco. It is very nice, the people are nice, not much parking and it definately closes at dark.

Great place for dogs to play! They have a small and large dog area and double fenced entrance. Water fountains and plenty of shade. Very natural. No grass just mulch and trees. Plenty of room to run!

l so appreciate having a clean safe place for my dog to run off leash and romp with other dogs! The fenced play areas are large enough for our big dogs to get a good run in but not so large that you lose sight of them. Nice and shady, water bowls and rinse stations, poop bags and picnic tables for moms and dads! Maddie and I both loved it!

I always take my pup to this park. He loves it. It can get crowded after 4pm.
