- KateApr 14, 2021We love Meadow Run!
MR is a membership park, the ppl who commented on the $15 charge, that is a visit fee which can be applied to your membership if you join. we have been members for almost 5 yrs & is just the best place to tire out your best friend! there is a great pond to let your dog swim in. The pond has 2 jumping docks, the pond is scheduled for a upgrade next month!! During the snowy winter months, paths are plowed around & criss cross in the park, but have never had a problem getting around in the snow.
MR has a Great clubhouse with bathrooms that are always accessible. recently a tavern was added next to MR, it does have limited hours, a small menu for humans & dog treats & beverages. during warm months, food trucks generally come 2 evenings a week. the tavern has inside & outside seating. MR is a wonderful place to socialize your dog & your humans. MR has Numerous free Park party’s thru out the year, yappy hours, barkoween, winter party, pond parties & dog Olympics. Just a great place, yes it’s not a free park, but for $1/day MR offers way more than just a fenced lot.
Also located in the tavern building is a local doggy daycare & dog training business. - JazmineMore than a year agoGreat park
We loved taking our pug to this park for the day. Rolling green hills is his absolute favorite thing, and while there weren't a ton of dogs outside of the water area. We had a ball and would recommend it to someone for a day pass. I can't even imagine paying that price for a membership, but it's a fun day trip.
- SuzanneMore than a year agovery nice park but pricey
The park from the outside view was very nice. Nice and clean facility inside the office where you can wash your furry friend. We were very excited until we were told it would be $20 for my two little pups to play for the day. Seems a little steep to me especially when we would only spend a good part of an hour letting my youngest play while my older girl hangs out relaxing in the grass. Unfortunately we had to leave without experiencing the grounds. On to searching for another park in the area.

We used Prairie View Dog Park (another dog park in Kalamazoo) for 3 years beginning with the day it opened. After witnessing many aggressive dog encounters (sorry many were pit bulls or pit bull mixes) the last straw came when I saw a chocolate lab's ear torn into 2 pieces by another bully breed. We decided enough was enough. One of the reasons we joined Meadow Run was because of the ban. It has been such a relaxing, fun experience for us and the dogs. There are many reasons to join this park- it is beautiful, well maintained, wonderful caring staff, and no fear from breeds that tend to be aggressive. If you don't like the ban there are other options. I'm glad we have this one.
- JoshMore than a year agoGreat Facility, Terrible Oversite
This Park is hands down the best place in the kalamazoo area in terms of facility and amenities. However I am really disturbed with the ban on certain breeds as I believe the owner is the one that is in charge of conditioning the breed. I know a hand full of owners that have completed the Canine Good Citizen course and would be allowed in public places such as hotels and restaurants etc. but to refuse them from a dog park where they should be accepted just because of their breed is a shame. I would understand if the owner and individual dog had a proven track record of ill behavior but this is not the case with most dogs. I understand they are private and can do as they please but I hope this policy of discrimination will end.
- LindaMore than a year agoThanks this is well done and perfect for us.
We visit Kzoo from Indiana, husband's 80-something parents, and enjoy the Prairie View dog park, but today I had time to go all the way from south and east of Portage to north west of Kalamazoo to check out Meadow Run.
It's very well done, and young, and I applaud the private owner for undertaking this. Yes it's high end, but there are plenty of people who will go for it. I would buy in in a heartbeat if we lived up there. I am not sure how a large rolling field of grass for dog play can be (or should have to be) made handicapped accessible without some serious expense, but I can hope that overall success allows the owner to consider a paved path for wheelchair and mobility assistance wheeled carts or motorized devices that goes to the pond and the agility course.
It works quite well for us as visitors, and I am fortunate that a $15 day pass for my large young water dog to play until he's exhausted, and then come back later the same day, is very reasonable. THANK YOU.

We have been members of this park for about 2 and a half years. Joining this park was THE BEST thing I could ever do for both my dog and me. I cannot say enough good about this park. LOVE LOVE LOVE this park. It is well worth the price! I would recommend this park to anyone looking for a place to bring their dog! I will be relocating soon but will make it a priority to visit this park whenever we are back to visit.
- DeannaMore than a year agoIs awesome!
Largest dog park in the area, clean, very friendly staff, and I've always been happy every time I've gone! Well worth the price at just a little over $1 a day.

We just love this park! Safe for all, clean, friendly. Agility area, clean pond. Sounds like a lot of money but well worth it. Ask the 200+ members. What fun at "Yappy" Hours Parties! Can't go anywhere better for $1/day
- KrisMore than a year agopricing is killing me!
$15 per day? That has to be a joke- Its a park- we went to one of the most reknowned dog parks in Minnesota- IT WAS FREE- Tons of friendly people and dogs, huge fenced play area and a lake to swim in- with floating play devices. I feel completely gouged as a customer because I want to take my dog to the park--- really?? $15 per visit? Best of luck keeping this open...

I have been a member of the club for almost a year and spend time almost every day at the Park. I have made a number of new friends and we really enjoy chasing balls, rolling in the grass and especially taking a nice cool swin on these hot summer days. I think the best part of the Park is when my Dad and I go for long walks and I get to run, sniff and check out the small holes along the fence. This is a great place for me and my friends and I am so lucky to be a member of Meadow Run Dog Park.
