Remarkable in-town park, convenient to I-25 for us road trippers. Lots of room for me and the GSP plus views of Pike's Peak. Parking is very limited so get there early. Our arrival was about 0630 and no problem.
Met several courteous and responsible owners with well behaved friends.
I liked that the lots of trails were unmarked. You can't get lost in fact we found an arch, wind caves and a seasonal creek.
It's awesome.

The park is a beautiful place to hike through. Ran into lots of very friendly people. Very dog friendly and responsible doggy owners abound. The trails are NOT marked well so make sure to build in extra time to find your way back out if you are not familiar with the area.

The hike was not that challenging both my Corgi and Mini Aussie loved the trail! The trails may need to be labeled better but we still had a great time even of we got lost. They had beautiful views and shaded areas. Overall everyone had fun two legged and four legged alike.

There are several trails thru the park but not well marked. On weekends this park can get crowded but on weekdays it is great. Lots of interesting rock formations. Make sure you bring water for both you and your dog since there is running creeks. Since it is easily accessible, there are hikers, joggers, and mountain bikers on the trails. However, some trails do not allow mountain bikes.
