So often I look for good options to let my pups run a bit. This state park is incredible. We did the Franconia ridge loop ascending falling waters trail and returning via the old bridle path. I highly recommend this hike but it is challenging for pups... Esp the falling water section. I am happy we hiked UP that trail and down the other. Descent would have been rough. Go early as the trail fills up and the ridge gets hot in the afternoon. We took six hours to complete

Franconia Notch State Park allows dogs on trails if on leash or under direct voice command. Dogs are not allowed in campgrounds, Flume Gorge or unattended in cars. !!!!!
We hiked Lonesome Lake Trail steep at the beginning and then flat around the lake. Moderate to hard and Cali woof had a great time.
