  Dog friendly off season

  Bethany dog policy:
  Dogs must be leashed and curbed at all times in Bethany Beach . Dogs are prohibited on the beach and boardwalk from May 15 to September 30. This rule includes Sea Colony and South Bethany.
  Dog disposable bags are at both ends of the boardwalk and in numerous walking areas in Bethany Beach and Sea Colony. There are only three hotels in Bethany Beach. I have seen dogs at The Marriot on the boardwalk off season but not at the Holiday Inn Express. Marriott rates in season can be as high as $800 a night. I’m sure they charge extra for dogs. Owners at Sea Colony own dogs but all dogs are required to wear a special green owners bold tag and dogs must be registered at the office with their updated medical records. Dogs in Delaware must also be licensed. Look for rentals that specify dogs permitted. Not a lot but some.
