Love the 6-10 am off leash times for good dogs to meet up and play. Wonderful time!

This is a nice enough park but there's not much for a leashed dog to do or enjoy. There is a nice gravelly trail leading out of the park to a connection with Lake Whatcom Park and the paths there as well as connection to Railroad Trail.

We've stopped using this park much because of the quantity of goose poop. The water area is frequently closed in the summer because of pollution concerns. (This, after all, is the city's drinking supply.)
- DavidMore than a year agoLimited hours
This park is closed to dogs, on leash or off, most of the time. During the summer months, dogs are allowed off-leash in the beach area from 6 to 10 a.m. only. Dogs are not technically allowed on the non-beach side (by the locomotive), but people do it and seem to go unchallenged.
