Dog Friendly Beaches in Zennor, UK

Gwithian Beach is pet-friendly. Windsurfers love this spot, as well as visitors flying kites. Dogs are welcome on this beach except between May 1 to September 30 from 8am to 7pm. The seasonal dog ban is in place between Ceres Rock and Red River. This boundary has been adjusted following the collapse of the steps at St Peters Point which left the area where dogs were allowed inaccessible.

Hayle Towans is pet-friendly. Towans means dunes in Cornish, so it's no surprise to find dunes here. Dogs are welcome off-leash on the beach from September 30 through May 1. During the rest of the year, dogs are still permitted on the beach, but only between the hours of 7pm to 8am between Hayle River and Black Cliffs.

Sennen Cove is pet-friendly. This relaxing beach is located in one of the UK’s most breathtaking locations. Dogs are welcome from October 1 through April 28. They are also permitted on Gwynver beach at the northern end of the bay year-round.

St Ives Harbour Beach is pet-friendly. Located in the town’s harbour sheltered by thick harbour walls a soft sandy beach is revealed when the tide’s out, making the perfect setting for a lovely walk with your pooch. Dogs are welcome on the beach from October 1 to the last Sunday before Easter.

Porthmeor St Ives is pet-friendly. Situated in the shadow of the iconic Tate St Ives building, Porthmeor is sandy and safe. You’ll find ancient pubs, trendy cafes and lots of art galleries nearby, making it the perfect place to visit with your pooch. Dogs are invited to enjoy this gorgeous Cornish beach from October 1 through the Sunday before Easter.

Porth Kidney is pet-friendly. This expansive golden sand beach is a great place for an afternoon stroll with your pooch. At low tide, you'll be able to explore a whole mile out towards sea. Dogs are welcome, as long as they are under control and cleaned up after.

Porthminster Beach is pet-friendly. Located just a short walk from the centre of St Ives, the award-winning beach at Porthminster is a popular spot to bring your pooch. Dogs are welcome on this beach from October 1 through the first Sunday before Easter.

Carbis Bay is pet-friendly. This seaside resort and village in Cornwall lies one mile southeast of St Ives, on the western coast of St Ives Bay, on the Atlantic coast. The South West Coast Path passes above the beach. Dogs are welcome on the beach from September 30 through first Sunday before Easter. During the prohibited period, morning dog walks are allowed between 5am and 8am.

Godrevy is pet-friendly. This vast sandy beach contains high cliffs and dramatic coves to enjoy with your pooch off-leash from September 30 through May 1. Dogs are also welcome on the beach during the off-peak hours in the summer. Bring Fido to the beach from 7pm to 7am during summer. Dog owners must clean up any mess that their pups leave behind.

Gunwalloe Cove Church Cove is pet-friendly. There are two beaches at Gunwalloe, Church Cove and Dollar Cove. Both beaches have access to some great rock pools and coves. Dogs are welcome on the beach off-leash from September 30 through Easter Sunday. During the prohibited period, Easter Sunday through September 30, pets are allowed on the beach from 7pm to 7am.

Lamorna Cove is pet-friendly. Leashed dogs are welcome to join their owners on this small pebble beach. People often enjoy paddling with their pups in the calm surf of this cove beach. Dog owners are reminded to clean up any mess that is left behind.

Porthzennor Cove is pet-friendly. Porthzennor Cove is tucked in to the east of Zennor Head and offers shelter and a great place to take your pooch on a walk. Leashed pups are welcome from October 1 through Easter Sunday.

Hendra - Praa Sands is pet-friendly. This gorgeous beach is covered in luscious white sand, making the perfect canvas for a seaside game of fetch with Fido. Dogs are welcome on this beach off-leash from September 30 through Easter Sunday. You can still visit the beach with your dog during prime summer months, but only between the hours of 7pm and 7am.

Peter's Point Hayle is pet-friendly. This three mile stretch of golden sands includes rocky areas and little cut off coves at high tide. Dogs are welcome on the beach from September 30 through Easter Sunday.

Portreath Beach is pet-friendly. This large beach has soft fine sand, with shingle below the shore line, that is popular with families and dog owners on walks. Dogs are welcome on the beach from October 1 through Easter Sunday.

Porthgwarra Beach is pet-friendly. This picturesque fishing hamlet in West Cornwall is still used by local anglers. There's not much sand here, so you may want to have a look around the local area, too. Dogs are welcome on the beach from October 1 through Easter Sunday at any time. Dogs are also welcome from May 1 through September 30 from 8am to 7pm.

Mexico Towans Beach is pet-friendly. Part of three miles of lovely sand, this popular beach is a great hangout spot for dogs and their owners. Dogs are allowed all year round on the central stretch of the beach, but restrictions are in place at the southern end near the estuary and towards Gwithian to the north. Dog owners are reminded to clean up any mess that is left behind.

Portheras Cove is pet-friendly. Located on one of the wildest stretches of the Cornish coast, this beach is hard to find but shouldn't be missed if you get the chance. Dogs are allowed year-round, as long as they are looked and cleaned up after.

Wherrytown Beach is pet-friendly. This large stretch of pebbles between Penzance and Newlyn is a great place to bring your pooch. The beach is backed by Newlyn Green. If you'd rather walk on a paved pathway, enjoy the wide promenade that runs along the length of the beach. Dogs are welcome if they are cleaned up after.

Porthleven Beach is pet-friendly. The beach is three miles in length and is covered in miles of lovely sand. When the tide is out, you can walk along to Loe Bar and the Penrose Estate from the granite pier of the harbor. Getting in the water is not advisable. Dogs are welcome on the beach from October 1 through April 28. This ban operates from the Harbour Wall eastwards to the flight of steps known as the Blue Buoy steps. On the rest of the beach there are no restrictions.
