Harbour Island This island is easily accessible from North Eleuthera airport (ELH) and is considered the "Nantucket" of the Bahamas - where the rich and famous play. On the island's east side is the Atlantic Ocean and three miles of pink sands beach - rated as one of the top beaches in the Caribbean. The west side is the harbor side, where the water taxis bring people in from the airport. Dogs are welcome at Harbour Island, however, a pet permit is required for entry from outside the Bahamas.
