Porthleven Beach Porthleven Beach is pet-friendly. The beach is three miles in length and is covered in miles of lovely sand. When the tide is out, you can walk along to Loe Bar and the Penrose Estate from the granite pier of the harbor. Getting in the water is not advisable. Dogs are welcome on the beach from October 1 through April 28. This ban operates from the Harbour Wall eastwards to the flight of steps known as the Blue Buoy steps.
