You and your pooch can enjoy the lakeside campground, which can be accessed by boat. There are a number of activities to enjoy during the day, including corn hole, horse shoe toss, and picnic areas. Fido is also welcome to join you on the hiking trails that weave around the local woodland adjacent to the water. Pet Friendly Pocomoke River State Park
Pocomoke River State Park Dogs are welcome at Pocomoke River State Park. Located within 15,000-acres of woodland at Pocomoke State Forest, this is a great spot to take Fido to get away from it all. The forest is made up of loblolly pine and cypress swamps, spread out over two sections: Milburn Landing and Shad Landing. The river meanders through the middle of the trees between the two sections, giving wildlife lovers the pleasure of spotting river otters at work. You may also spot bald eagles soaring in the sky above the park. There are a number of multi-use trails, ideal for taking your pooch on a walk. Pets are allowed in day-use areas after Labor Day up until Memorial Day weekend, as long as they are on a leash and all mess is cleaned up after them.
