Pet Friendly Bartholomew Park
Bartholomew Park Explore the 3-mile trail within Bartholomew Park with your dog. Take in the duck pond and windmill, weave through mature oaks, madrones, redwoods and vineyards, and follow wildflowers up the log steps and cresting at a view of San Francisco Bay. Free parking is available within the park, in the designated area. The trail is moderate to difficult in places and dogs must remain on leash at all times. Pet Friendly The Petrified Forest
The Petrified Forest The Petrified Forest is pet-friendly. The forest was created after Mount. St. Helena (seen from the Silverado Trail) erupted 3.4 million years ago and engulfed a redwood forest in volcanic ash, preventing decay and preserving the trees. It wasn’t until 1870 that the forest was discovered underneath a pasture and became a point of interest for paleontologists. These days, visitors and their dogs can take to the trails of the forest and enjoy the natural phenomenon together. The Petrified Forest is open every day of the week from 9am to 6pm. See Details
Crane Creek Regional Park Crane Creek Regional Park is a128-acre, dog-friendly park in Santa Rosa that features rolling grasslands and beautiful oaks. Explore the 3.5 miles of trails with your leashed pooch, and the 18-hole disc golf course. Along the way, discover Crane Creek flowing through the middle of the park, ridges that offer sweeping views of the countryside and meadows covered with wildflowers. Napa Valley Vine Trail Napa Valley Vine Trail is pet-friendly. The trail will one day stretch for 47 scenic miles from the Vallejo Ferry to Calistoga. So far, 12.5 miles of Class I trail from Kennedy Park Off Leash Area in Napa to Yountville are completed. The project hopes to connect all of Napa Valley to provide locals and visitors alike with a safe place to walk dogs and cycle, plus a healthy alternative for pedestrians to explore the region’s vineyards. Spring Lake Regional Park Spring Lake Regional Park is a pet-friendly recreational space in Santa Rosa, CA. This 320-acre park features camping, fishing, picnic areas with barbecues, and five group picnic areas. Trails are available for walking, hiking, bicycling and horseback riding. The park includes a par course, a 3-acre swimming lagoon and a 72-acre lake. Dogs are permitted on leashes no longer than 6' in length. License required. Sonoma Bike Path The Sonoma Bike Path is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization that is working to create a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and connecting corridors.
