Unfortunately, they are not allowed to enter any of the buildings that commemorate the American composer, Stephen Foster, who wrote the song that made the Suwannee River famous, Old Folks at Home. Even though you can't check out the museum, you can still have a great day on the hiking trails that take in high river bluffs and limestone outcroppings, swamp forest, hammocks, and piney flatwoods alongside the Suwannee River. Ichetucknee Springs State Park Ichetucknee Springs State Park in Fort White, FL is a 2,669-acre park which welcomes Fido along three dog-friendly trails. Leashed dogs are permitted only on the Trestle Point and Pine Ridge trails located at the north end, and the Discovery Trail which is situated behind the visitor center at the south end. Fido can also accompany you to picnic areas, but must be supervised. Pet owners are reminded that dogs are not permitted on the trails that lead to the springs or river, or in the water. See Details
