Dog Admission Day at Morton Arboretum
Pups are welcome to enjoy roaming the 16 miles of hiking trails around the Arboretum several times a year on select days! Dogs must be leashed at all times and have updated vaccinations and registrations. For the safety of both your pet and the natural environment, do not let dogs go off the marked trails. Please clean up after your pet; bags are available at the Visitor Center.

Wine on the Hill
Enjoy the beautiful outdoor scenery of the Illinois Valley and your favorite August Hill & ISC wines while hanging out on the spacious hillside with your pet at this fun event. Each reservation includes adirondack chairs in the shade, a cooler stocked with drinks and snacks, and the option to order wine by the bottle or flights upon check-in. Dogs are welcome as long as they are leashed and remain outside.

Palos Park Doggie Dash
Once you and your pup have finished the course, stick around the post-race village to enjoy some food, explore booths of local pet-themed vendors, play some games and more! They will hold a "Pup Parade" at 10:15 AM, where all dogs are welcome to participate and prizes will be given out. For everyone's safety during this 5k & 1-mile run/walk, all dogs must be leashed (this includes the race and post-race), and leashes longer than 6 feet will not be allowed.

Bark In Lehigh Park
You and your leashed pup are invited to this fun day out to celebrate the grand opening of the Starved Rock Dog Park. Enjoy America's Best Frisbee Dogs shows at 11:00 AM & 1:00 PM. Experience a K9 Search & Rescue demonstration at noon. There will be pet vendors, a pet photographer, adoptable pets and city dog tags available for purchase with proof of rabies vaccination. Pups in need of pampering can visit the mobile grooming unit (proof of rabies vaccination is required for grooming). Head to The Dog House which will have food for purchase for humans. The first 100 attendees will recieve goodie bags.

West Fest Chicago and Pet Fest
Bring Fido along to this fun event that celebrates the eclectic West Town community through local offerings and talent! There will be a variety of neighborhood restaurants, food trucks, retail vendors, corporate sponsors, local artists and more. Live music from Empty Bottle Presents and Bass By The Pound DJ Stage will also be played. Pet Fest is 12:00 PM-6:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday and features a dog obstacle course, paw painting, pet retail and service booths, plus various pet-related demonstrations throughout the day.
