Attend any of the dog shows, agility competitions, costume parades, festivals or fundraisers in North Carolina on our Dog Events Calendar and you’ll meet hundreds, maybe even thousands, of dog lovers. And since 70% of the events listed benefit humane societies, attending one is a great way to help homeless pets too.

Bark in the Park with the Greensboro Grasshoppers Take Fido out to a ballgame! Pooch pass proceeds will be donated to the Babe and Yogi Scholarship. All dogs must be leashed and licensed, and are not permitted on the concourse at any time. All participants must enter through the Edgeworth gate and have tickets for the Sunbrella Hill grass berm in left field. Blankets are strongly recommended, as lawn chairs are not permitted. Dogs must be leashed at all times. 2024 Bark in the Park dates include: June 5th, July 9th and July 28th. See Details

Enjoy a walk on the hallowed grounds where Wilbur and Orville took their historic first flight in 1903, then join the fun for some fun flight of your own. Pups & Pastries Fido is welcome to partake in the Doggie Dash 5K and Doggie Dash 6.5 Mile race in support of Second Chance Pet Adoptions. Pups & Pastries gives you an opportunity to partake in a fun-run with your canine companion to combat animal homelessness. The $10 fee for Fido goes to support Second Chance Pet Adoptions! All dogs must be registered in order to race alongside you. Kids 12 & Younger are not allowed in the Doggie Dash 5K or Doggie Dash 6.5 Mile races. See Details
Oktoberfest Half Marathon & 5k at Oskar Blues Brewery The Oktoberfest Half Marathon & 5k celebrates the season of hops and malts with a beautiful run. Festive costumes encouraged, but not required!
