How to get a dog from the US to PV

I am curious how to get my dog to PV without having her fly as cargo on an airplane. She weights 50 lbs. Are there boats or anything? How is the drive through Mexico? Thanks!

hey there, we drove through the US and Mexico with our 3 dogs - awesome, though difficult to find hotels that take pets in mexico you can just pull in discreetly and forget to tell them about the dog!!

We Drove

We drove from SF to PV with our dog. She weights about 65 lbs. Thanksfully she likes car rides, so the drive was not too hard on her. We didn't have too hard of a time finding pet-friendly hotels. Most Best Westerns and some Holiday Inns are pet-friendly. However, they are not the nicest motels, unless you are in a fairly large city. Also, they takes dogs on a case by case basis, so try to always call ahead of time to confirm.
