After years of going regularly to Hillstone in Winter Park (formerly Houston's) with my two well-behaved dogs, I was informed last night that they have reversed a decade-old pet-friendly policy. All dogs are now banned from the patio/property entirely. What a heart-break. It was our favorite restaurant. Constantly I was interrupted during meals there by others commenting on how well-behaved my two dogs are. Have you had a similar experience of a restaurant reversing a pet-friendly policy? Any luck on getting them to reconsider? We started a page on Facebook ("Pet Friendly Restaurants") to open the topic but not sure what good it will do. The restaurant seems convinced. Terrible how a few up-tight people can ruin it for dog-owners.
