Dog Event on Memorial Day Weekend in Frankenmuth, Michigan

Friends told me about a small German Village in Michigan that hosts a very large event for Families with Dogs on Memorial Day Weekend. Has anyone ever attended and if so is it worth the trip to Michigan for this event?
