Best vacation-tourist spot for friendly dog?

I'm considering taking my buddy, a 4-1/2 year old rescued greyhound, on a road trip. Panther is both well-behaved and very friendly with people and with other dogs of all sizes. (He gets so much admiration in public that he probably already thinks he's a celebrity!)

What are the best tourist destinations where he can also be walked around and say hi to everyone?
