Where can I take my dog on the beach

I have taken my dog to Ponce but was unaware that the Daytona Beach Shores allowed dogs on the beach.
What are the specific rules regarding dogs on the beach?

Dogs on Beach

There are only two places on Volusia County beaches that allow dogs. They are Smyrna Dunes Park in New Smyrna Beach...it is a semi-long walk from the parking lot at 2995 N. Peninsula to the beach area that allows the dogs. And Ponce inlet at 5000 S. Atlantic Ave. It's kind-of rocky in this area, but only a short walk from the parking. Dogs have to be leashed at both of these parks. Hope that helps!
