If you are one of these people, like myself, who brings your pup with you everywhere you go, Rocklin is definitely not the place to visit. They act like it's a felony to drive around with your dog in the car. Restaurants, parks, city workers and police are all hostile to dog owners. The Pet Smart store there is the only exception. If you want to dine outdoors and stroll with your pet, the Fountains in Roseville is a very welcoming place. But stay away from Rocklin with your 4-legged friend.
My number 1 most dog friendly cities in Northern California are Carmel and Squaw Valley-both great dog towns to visit and stay at.
