Our room was lovely and the location was far enough off the main drag to be quiet and peaceful, yet just a walk away from the action. I was so happy to be able to bring my dog and feel welcomed. They even had a selection of doggie treats in the lobby and info on doggie ‘daycare’ if you needed it. Homemade baked goods in the morning were delicious. Can’t wait to come back again!

Admiral Simms House on Mill St was exceptional. Totally dog friendly with a cute garden in back for pups & people. The suite was extremely clean. Upgraded contemporary kitchen & bath. Rest of the space appeared newly remodeled with contemporary rustic design. We loved the location, walkable to Thames St shops & restaurants, several small parks nearby.

Perfect spot for a quick getaway with my pup 🐶. Had everything I needed and in a good location. Walked down to the beach and walked downtown a few times also. Studio suite was perfectly cozy with all of the essentials from morning coffee Keurig pot to shampoo & conditioner. Will definitely book Admiral Sims House again!

Pros: the yard & the room was nice; we opted to use the big ceiling fan instead of the A/C. Pretty neighborhood, nice owners. Beach nearby with beach towels provided,
Cons: not in walking distance to restaurants & sights; our room was on 2nd floor, which was inconvenient for taking our dog in & out. - MichaelAug 15, 2022A lovely, yet short stay!
We were only here for one night, but the (king) bed was comfy for the 2 of us, the room was clean, the house was very pretty and lit up so you can see at night, and the owner was super sweet. When we plan on coming back to New Port for more than just one night, we know where we're gonna stay.

Admiral Sim's house on Mill Street was wonderful for us and our dog. It had a very spacious living room, dining room, kitchen combo room. The bedroom was also spacious. There was grass in the backyard for the dog. We were close to all the action on Thames Street. We had a great time!
