Very noisy in a scary location.

The first the room I got smelled like urine, after waiting for the guy to come back about 10 minutes, he did at least give me another room. The sheets were stained with grey spots all over (assuming they were washed) and the towels had black and grey spots. The room had thick black hair on the counters, TV cabinet, floors, and bed. When I checked in the guy didn't give me a wifi password so I had to go back up to the front desk and wait 26 minutes for him to come back to give me the password. Lots of sketchy people staying there.

Although the room was okay in appearance, there was no hot water. You have to walk off site to find grass. The parking lot was littered with dog droppings.

This place was clean and convenient to the highway. The room was small and well, it’s not a 5 star resort, but when traveling it’s what you may want as you pass through town. The front desk crew was amazing and pup friendly on arrival and check out. When we left we met the manager's pup and it was nice to see they are truly dog lovers. Only 4 bones since it’s not a long stay kinda place.

Wish I could leave a lower review if I could. It was basically the most expensive pit stop. First of all, it’s next to a Waffle House and you can hear the constant cars and drunk people passing by which stressed the dogs. The room is disgusting, smelled like cigarettes, no soap, dirty floors, stained walls. The AC unit was falling off the wall and had black mold in it. We stayed for a whole 20 minutes after hearing drunk people screaming outside, the dogs and I had to go! saved your money and take a nap at a rest stop which is probably safer.

We checked in late and the "lobby" was locked for security. I had to go to the side door where the desk attendant was behind a plexiglass barrier. Driving through parking lot in a truck was a nightmare because cars were in spaces but then larger vehicles were parallel parked along the fence. We got to the room & found bugs dead & alive, the bed linens were beyond stained. The TV didn't work. I honestly don't know how the board of health hasn't shut them down because they shouldn't be able to sell rooms in their current condition. It appears they have long term renters because we saw rooms with plants & personal items in the windows.

The room was updated but they were so small I could barely turn around. As far as the Fitzroy is concerned, they treated really well and I had no problem checking in. But there’s nowhere for dogs to play or go to the bathroom that wasn’t concrete and the grass needs to be cut badly. Other than that the price is right, updated rooms just small. My mother was in a wheelchair and she had to have a second floor room because there were no first floor rooms available. They should’ve made accommodations for me because I requested a bottom room when I reserved online.

I’ve had great experiences with BringFido; however, this particular Red Roof Inn in Hattiesburg I cannot recommend. Was not pleased upon arrival and witnessed some unsavory behavior on the property and in the parking lot, so my son, dog, and I departed for another hotel for the night.
